Description

Since 2004, we’ve cultivated a strong and loyal audience for food, music, coffee, craft beer and wine.

With just 50 seats, we’re Minnesota’s premier, intimate live music “listening room”.

We’ve been graced with performances by Dan Wilson, Keri Noble, Martin Zellar, Michael Johnson, Chris Koza, Ben Kyle, Romantica, Caroline Smith, Channy Leaneagh of Polica, Adam Levy, Chastity Brown, Billy MacLaughlin, almost all of The Jayhawks, Tina Schlieske (of Tina & the B-Sides), members of Soul Asylum, Michael Gulezian, Ann Reed, Joanna James, Tim Mahoney, Michael Monroe, Dean Magraw, Jim Anton, JT Bates, The Pines, Becky Schlegel, Kenni Holmen, Molly Maher, Vicci Martinez, Caleb Hawley, Kevin Bowe, Patty Peterson, Jeff Arundel, Gwen Mathews, Mary Jane Alm, Boyd Lee, Daisy Dillman Band, and so many more talented local and national musicians.

The 318 Café is 100% locally owned and independent.
We support the community of Excelsior.

We support many other local businesses in day-to-day operations including tons of MN Breweries, Ames Farm Honey, Stickney Hill Farms, Ridgeroll Farms, TeaSource, Grey Duck Chai, Dogwood Coffee, La Quercia Farms, Excelsior Farmers Market vendors and many more.

The 318 Cafe awaits your next visit.
We’re in a 100+ year-old building once used as a lumber mill, a naturally warm environment full of character, wood beams and history. Whether it’s for a quick latte, a glass of wine and a cheese plate, a MN craft beer or a show, we’ve got the cozy neighborhood vibe you crave. With a fireplace for cold winter days, a little patio for summer sun, and an ample parking lot, the 318 Café crew happily welcomes you!
